Commitment
Accessibility statement.
Speech-language therapy exists to support people with communication, language, and cognitive differences. The website offering that care must be accessible to those same people — or the care isn't reaching everyone it should.
Our commitment
ReImagine Speech and Language Therapy is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We design and maintain this site to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our baseline standard.
We chose this standard deliberately. As a speech-language pathology practice, many of the people we serve experience cognitive, linguistic, or sensory differences that affect how they use the web. Accessibility isn't a compliance checkbox for us — it's part of the care we provide.
What we do
- Clear, plain language at roughly an 8th-grade reading level on patient-facing pages
- Semantic HTML structure that works with screen readers and assistive technology
- Keyboard navigation throughout the site, with visible focus indicators
- Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG 2.2 AA ratios
- Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images
- Muted hero video that plays automatically and never auto-plays audio; the media sequence cycles continuously
- Forms with clear labels, inline validation, and no captcha puzzles
- Generous tap targets (minimum 44 × 44 pixels) on mobile
- A visible accessibility statement (this page) and a contact for issues
