Telepractice
Speech therapy from anywhere you call home.
Teletherapy is a method of delivery — not a lesser form of care. Backed by peer-reviewed evidence confirming it is clinically equivalent to in-person speech therapy, our virtual sessions deliver the same high-quality outcomes. To ensure complete privacy and security, our clinicians strictly utilize HIPAA- and FERPA-approved platforms.
How it works
What teletherapy looks like.
Telepractice — also called telehealth, telerehab, telespeech, and teletherapy — is an evidence-based platform for conducting speech-language therapy remotely. It was introduced in 2005 and has grown steadily since, with peer-reviewed research confirming its clinical effectiveness.
At ReImagine, we use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing system. You'll have a scheduled appointment that you log into from your home, and you'll meet with your speech-language pathologist in real time. Sessions can also be recorded and submitted as part of your home program.
Just like in a traditional "table-top" speech therapy setting, your therapist will work with you on the specific goals that matter to your communication needs.
Benefits of teletherapy at ReImagine
Lower overhead
Teletherapy removes the commute and makes care easier to access from home.
More time with patients
No commute means more productivity and more attentive care.
Clinically proven
Telepractice is an effective and successful service delivery model for speech therapy.
Faster access
Patients can be seen in a more timely manner, without driving to a clinic.
Homebound accessible
For patients who are medically homebound, out of city lines, or managing young children.
Comfort
No fighting traffic, no waiting room, therapy in a familiar environment.
Is every patient eligible for teletherapy?
Not always. Each patient requires a full assessment to determine their current speech and language needs and their ability to participate via telecommunications. Most patients are appropriate for telepractice, but some may need a "facilitator" (also called an "e-helper") present during the session. A facilitator assists with logging in and any actions that may require in-person support. Facilitators do not need to be licensed — they are commonly a family member, teacher, or parent.
State-specific requirements
Texas residents
We want your first experience with virtual therapy to feel safe, successful, and completely natural. To ensure teletherapy is the perfect fit for your family's unique routine, our initial evaluation includes a gentle, supportive suitability screening. Before we begin our journey together, we will guide you through a secure written informed consent process, fully adhering to 16 TAC §111.212.
California residents
We firmly believe that geographic distance should never compromise the quality of your care. In full alignment with Cal. B&P Code §2290.5, our virtual sessions are held to the exact same elite clinical standards as a traditional clinic visit. To keep your onboarding completely stress-free, we can easily secure your required telehealth consent either in writing or verbally during our first conversation.
Idaho residents
Idaho is our home base, and we are deeply committed to reaching families across the Gem State per Idaho Code §54-2927. While we specialize in seamless, high-definition teletherapy across Idaho, we understand that some milestones are best shared side-by-side. We are happy to offer in-person therapy options for select portions of the Treasure Valley, blending the convenience of modern virtual care with the warmth of local, face-to-face support.
Telepractice represents a method of service delivery rather than a treatment approach. Telepractice services must be equivalent in quality to those delivered in person.— American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
